More About Nicole
Nicole has been working with patients with cardiovascular disease. As a cardiovascular wellness clinician and certified nurse practitioner, Nicole is a strong believer in making prevention a priority. Nicole is experienced in all aspects of cardiovascular care and prevention to skilfully manage CVD risk using latest research.
In 2012, she became a certified lipid specialist and established a dedicated lipid clinic to better serve patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Building on this foundation, she founded the Arizona Center for Advanced Lipidology, PLLC in 2015, a practice now celebrating ten years of delivering specialized, evidence-based cardiovascular prevention and risk reduction care.
Nicole’s clinical expertise also extends to weight management and metabolic health, including the clinical application of GLP-1 and dual GLP-1/GIP therapies as part of comprehensive cardiometabolic risk reduction strategies. Her approach emphasizes individualized, science-driven care for patients with complex lipid and metabolic conditions.
In addition to her clinical practice, Nicole is deeply engaged in professional leadership, education, and scholarship. She served as President of the Southwest Lipid Association from 2022 to 2023 and remains active on its board, along with participation in multiple professional societies. She is a national speaker who regularly educates other healthcare providers on advanced lipid management, cardiometabolic risk, and emerging therapies. She also serves as a consultant for several biomedical companies and has authored and co-authored multiple manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals.
Nicole developed the Lipid Clinic at Pima Heart in 2012 and has served as a principal investigator and study coordinator in clinical research. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Society of Preventive Cardiology and the National Lipid Association, serving on multiple committees such as conference planning, and she has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications.
More recently, Nicole’s interests have expanded into longevity medicine and health span optimization, with a focus on evidence-based lifestyle interventions and responsible “biohacking” strategies. Her professional philosophy is shaped by a personal commitment to nutrition, strength training, dance, outdoor activity, and holistic wellness that integrates science and spirituality. She values meaningful relationships, community, and connection with family, friends, and animals as essential components of lifelong health and well-being.
